CDA Program Questions
Yes! Absolutley! Many other states also have programs to assist educators with grants and scholarships to help teachers obtain this credential. Please reach out to ABLE Learning Solutions for more information regarding your specific state benefits.
Yes! The Florida Staff Credential and the National CDA are two separate credentials.
Yes! You can still earn this credential
Yes! This is called a 2nd Sitting and you will be dually credentialed. If you completed your 1st CDA and it is not expired, then you may earn the 2nd credential.
It typically takes between 10 - 14 weeks to complete. It all depends on how quickly you want to complete the course. This is not a "Fast-Track" program. We want candidates to learn how to elevate their abilities and skills as professional educators and to provide quality learning opportunities for all children.
Currently, we offer the virtual meetings in English only. Spanish is coming soon! However, the additional training courses and final exam can all be in Spanish.
Yes! We can help you to have your documents translated and evaluated by an T.E.A.C.H. approved agency. However, there will be an additional cost paid directly to the translator and evaluator ($60 - $175). We can guide you through this process.

CDA Renewal
You may complete the renewal procees up to 6 months before your credential expires.
You will need to begin the process again and enroll in the program from the beginning.
We offer this program quarterly. Please check in the tab "For Providers" for the next CDA renewal date available.
We highly recommend that you complete this process a minimum of 6 months before you expire.
This process takes between 4-6 weeks to complete.

CDA Credential - Dual Credential
To be dually credentialed means that you have both your Infant/Toddler and Preschool National CDA.
Unfortunately, no! Once you complete a credential, you can then begin the process to earn the second credential.

Florida Director Credential Course
All of the following requirements must be met:
1. You must be able to provide proof of Florida residency
2. You must have an active Florida Staff Credential/ National CDA, or hold and EXEMPT credential reflected on the DCF transcript
3. You must be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent in the US. Or, provide a translated and evaluated diploma from an approved agency. We can help you with this process (additional cost may apply between $60 - $175).
This course is a 7-week virtual meeting.
